Happy Holidays!

Friday, December 18th, 2015

Incline Ski and Snowboard shop and our crew wishing you all the best this holiday season! Our holiday gift exchange was another great success. It is hard to determine who received the best gift. Perhaps, Johnny with his bluetooth wireless selfie stick? Or, is it the weird painting Morgan found at a thrift shop? Hard to tell.

Pow days are coming and we are ready for the holiday rush!

Incline Ski and Snowboard 2015-2016 Rental Gear

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015

It is crazy but we back into that time of year again. All of our skis and snowboards for the 2015-2016 are/will be arriving to the shops over the next month. We have updated our website with current pictures and descriptions of our gear. I really like what Volkl is doing and am super excited to jump on a High Society board. With El Nino still showing mega strength, I am hoping to use the pow sticks all winter long!!!

The Incline crew went to Loveland this week to checkout the preseason demo day. With the snow pounding, the team made the drive. The snow has been falling for about four hours and is only increasing in intensity. Early November was full of mountain biking, those days are long behind. The shops are almost ready!!!! See the sequence of events above. Angry driver, stoked passengers, and pow slayers.

Incline Ski and Snowboard Shop is Intimidated by the Double Halfpipe

Friday, March 21st, 2014

Photo taken by Vital Films.

The first ever double half pipe in the Aspen and Snowmass will be featured by Red Bull this weekend. Personally, there is no way I would attempt the tricks the athletes will be performing. The event takes place Saturday March 21st and Sunday March 22nd. While some of the riders will be on Snowboards that Incline rents, our staff will be unable to replicate all the craziness that will be happening this weekend, sorry.

Incline Ski and Snowboard Shop Decides it loves rock island, Snowmass

Wednesday, March 12th, 2014

After careful consideration and a intense courting period, Incline Ski and Snowboard Shop has settled on Rock Island in Snowmass. While AMF and Gowdy’s feel cheated, we are confident the right decision was made. Aspen, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk are also crying afoul. There will be more updates to follow as there have been numerous attempts to reopen lines of communication with other runs.

As always, we use the proper rental gear to aid our decision making process. Come check out the skis and boards at Incline Snowmass and Incline Aspen.

For anyone looking to purchase but want to rent it first can come into our shop and check it out. We have worked out a discounted rental rate for interested individuals. Even better, the High Society crew will knock off your day rental from the purchase price! Killer!!

Dear Snow, I hear you are coming to town tonight and tomorrow

Friday, January 3rd, 2014

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Christmas week was crazy here in Aspen Snowmass! Thank you to everyone that came out and enjoyed the holidays with us. We had snow Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. It is so amazing being out in town when it is dumping. The picture above is from New Year’s Eve. We have another nice storm coming in tonight and tomorrow. Reports are for 4-8 when it is all done.

If we get on the high end of this range, I would recommend renting or hiring skis that are 90+ under foot. Check out the Salomon Rocker 2 108 or for women the Salomon Rockette!

Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands Open For the Season

Monday, December 16th, 2013

As of last Saturday, Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands are open for the season. Aspen Highlands opened with a bang, offering plenty of powder to those who showed up. The groomed runs were sweet at Buttermilk with some fun features in the terrain park open as well. The 2013-2014 ski season is shaping up to be pretty awesome!

At the shop here we’ve been testing out the new ski and snowboard equipment we have for hire. We’ve been really impressed with what companies like Volkl, K2, Rossignol, and Salomon have been doing with their skis. Johnny was out on the new Rome Reverb Rocker the other day and came back grinning from ear to ear. We’re stoked to have Rome Snowboards as part of our rentals this year.

Stop by our shop and say hi when you’re in town for the Holidays. Don’t forget to book your rentals in advance right here on our website to receive a great discount. Hope to see you soon!

Lifts Are Spinning at Aspen Mountain and Snowmass

Wednesday, November 27th, 2013

Aspen Mountain and Snowmass are both up and running for the season with new terrain opening every week. Skiers and snowboarders seeking soft snow at Snowmass today were rewarded with the Sheer Bliss lift opening (aptly named, as there was plenty of untracked snow.) As of today, Village Express, Elk Camp Gondola, Sam’s Knob, Big Burn, Sheer Bliss, and the Meadows lifts were open at Snowmass. At Ajax, the Silver Queen Gondola and Ajax Express lifts were turning.

Here at the ski shop we’re just finishing up getting all of this year’s skis and snowboards ready for the season. Our new rental fleet is looking sweet and we’re all excited for this winter. We hope to see you out here enjoying the snow on your ski vacation.

Here’s a sneak peek at what the Hanging Valley Glades are looking like from yesterday while out skiing with Patrol.

Thursday, October 10th, 2013

We are under a winter storm warning until Friday afternoon. The last I read, forecasters are calling for 5-8 inches! Our new shop dog Charlie is very excited about the news!! You will notice that he has chosen to two skis today the Kastle M 88 and the Rossignol Soul 7.

Charlie has only seen snow once and went bonkers. He is pumped for this upcoming winter season! Mention his Soul 7 pick and receive a 30% discount off your ski rental in Aspen or Snowmass!!
